Blooming Marvellous Awards for Training Company

KEITS Training Services is celebrating after a successful night at the British Floristry Association Industry Awards.

KEITS Training Services, an independent training provider, is celebrating after a successful night at the British Floristry Association Industry Awards. It won two awards while one of its learners and employers also won awards.

KEITS was delighted to pick up awards for Floristry Training Provider of the Year and Floristry Tutor of the Year which was awarded to Kay Stone, a KEITS Apprenticeships tutor.

KEITS Chief Executive, David Rose said: “As one of the UK’s leading private training providers, we are thrilled to pick up these coveted awards. Apprenticeships provide sustainable, industry-recognised training, which is vital for up-skilling young people with the crucial technical and practical skills required for a strong and healthy economy.”

Kay Stone said: “This award demonstrates that we have an amazing team at KEITS. We are all very proud of the recognition that these awards bring and the demonstration of the quality of our Floristry Apprenticeships.”

The Employer of the Year category was won by Flowers of Borough Green, Kent. The small business, which offers flower arrangements and workshops, scooped the Employer of the Year category of this year’s British Florist Association Industry Awards.

Owner Fiona Wakefield completed Intermediate and Advanced Level Apprenticeships in Floristry with KEITS.  She has employed numerous KEITS apprentices over the last six years. Fiona said: “We are passionate about our flowers, design, quality and the service we give to each of our customers so it is wonderful to have this recognised through the award. I would particularly like to thanks KEITS for their continued training support.”

Also receiving an award was talented young florist, Ellouise Hasler-Stott, who won Newcomer of the Year.  Ellouise has just completed an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Floristry and is about to start an Advanced Level Apprenticeship.

She works for Linda’s Florist, based in Ashford, Kent.

Ellouise said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be named Floristry Newcomer of the Year. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and look forward to building my floristry career.”

The awards were presented at a ceremony in West Bromwich, in the Midlands, on Saturday October 26.
