A small, friendly livery yard with world-class facilities run and managed by Charlotte Ellen Charlotte runs a unique livery service and offers tailored part and full livery in the fantastic Surrey countryside We provide a holistic approach to each horse and do so through keeping all professionals, staff members, and owners connected and in touch with all aspects of each horses daily Facilities are excellent 20mx60m International size dressage arena with an all weather Combi-Ride surface. Floodlights and Training Mirrors 50mx60m Show Jumping Arena with an all weather Combi-Ride surface and full set of show jumps 150 element cross country school, open 365 days per year (built by the builders of Rio Olympics and Badminton Horse Trials) 8 Furlong gallops on an all weather Geltrack with an incline

A wonderful opportunity to work at a small  friendly yard based at Littleton Manor, Reigate comprising of 12 boxes in an indoor American barn with mostly competition ponies and horses.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual looking to develop their skills in horse care. You will work alongside our current team handling and caring for our horses. All aspects of horse care will be covered, perfect for anyone looking to get into the industry

Duties include:

  • Mucking out
  • Yard duties
  • Turning out
  • Tacking up
  • Assisting at competitions
  • Feeding
  • Assisting with young stock
  • Handling and care of competition horses
  • Helping with Livery clients/ horses

Desired skills

  • Previous riding experience and confidence handling a variety of horses is essential and must be shown on application
  • Good customer service skills are needed

Desired qualifications

  • English and maths GCSE’s, or equivalents, are desired
  • Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in Horse Care to be eligible

Training

  • Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
  • The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
  • The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
