Dog Groomer Apprentice
(The Pet Retreat)

We are looking for a hard-working, motivated individual with a genuine passion for dogs and grooming to join our team. We are a busy salon so ability to work in a busy environment is a must. You will be taught everything you need to know about dog grooming through already established groomers in the industry as well as regular seminars and events you will attend with us.

Duties will include but not limited to;

• Prepping dogs for grooming
• Bathing
• Drying
• Clipping dogs
• Nail clipping
• Dealing with customers
• Cleaning the salon to maintain health and safety

Desired Qualifications

• Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming.
• GCSE or Equivalent in maths and English Grade C/4 or above desired but not essential.

Future Progression

• We would love for this to lead to a permanent position, potentially leading to management in the future.

Training 

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Groomer Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
