Equine Event Groom Apprentice
(CH Eventing)

This is an exciting opportunity for an Event Groom to join an International Event Yard.

Duties will include but not limited to;

• Mucking out
• Turning out/Catching in
• Feeding and Watering
• Grooming day to day
• Lunging
• Hacking and Fitness work for the right candidate
• Preparing horses for competition
• Competition grooming for the right candidate both in the UK and Internationally

Desired Skills and Qualities

• Hard working
• Applicants should have some previous experience of dealing with horses and MUST show this on their application
• Team Player
• Good Communication
• Reliable

Desired Qualifications:

• Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above
• Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 or  Level 3 qualification in the equine sector to be eligible for this apprenticeship.

Future Prospects

• Gain qualifications, attend shows and gain riding experience
• Potential future employment for the right candidate

Training

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
