Dog Grooming & Retail Apprentice
(Woofs A Daisy)

This position is to be an assistant in the grooming room. You will be helping our groomer bath, brush and dry the dogs were needed. You wll be looking after the dogs in the space when their owners are picking up. you will be helping the groomer where needed with activities in the grooming room and to help in the shop when needed.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

• Bathing, drying, and prepping dogs
• Dealing with clients, bookings, and phone calls
• Cleaning and maintaining the salon and shop to a high standard
• Helping to create and post content on our social media pages
• Clipping and Scissoring
• Serving customers in the pet store when needed
• Restocking shelves when required

Desired Qualifications 

• Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or above in dog grooming.
• Maths and English Grade C/4 GCSE or equivalent desirable but not Essential.

Possible Progression

• Future Employment for the right candidate if position arises.

Training

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
•  The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
