About this opportunity:

Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away. You will learn how local government is run and get the opportunity to gain working knowledge through the many different services Three Rivers District Council Customer Service Centre supports, dealing with enquiries through a variety of media, including telephone contact and admin duties whilst studying for this qualification.

We are looking for individuals who are ready to learn, are proactive and can work using their own initiative with appropriate guidance. The Apprentice must have a keen interest in customer care and have the drive and motivation to succeed in delivering the required results.

A great opportunity has risen for two 17 month Apprenticeship positions within our Customer Service Centre team.

Duties include but not limited to;

  •  Receive record and respond to customer communications via telephone, e-mail, and written correspondence as well as visitors to CSC.
  • Provide high standards of customer care to customers contacting the council via all communication channels.
  • Undertake administrative work or system input tasks arising from individual caseload.
  • Contact customers on a variety of matters as directed, including return calls and customer surveys of various types.

Desired Qualifications

  • GCSEs or equivalent in maths and English are desired
  • Applicants MUST NOT already hold a level 2 or higher in Customer Service

Future Prospects

  • Employees who have worked within our customer service team have been promoted to advanced representatives. We also have a number of employees working within our other departments who started as customer service representatives, for example HR, communications and housing.

Things to consider

Training

  • Full Training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
  • The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.
  • The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remoter and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
  • The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of the apprenticeship.
