Equine Training Consultant
This is an opportunity to join our highly successful and growing, homed-based equine training team. We are looking for a dedicated and inspirational individual to use their knowledge and experience of the industry, to develop and support our learners in achieving their Apprenticeship.
You will teach and support a range of apprentices, with different needs and starting points, across a portfolio of equine courses, both Level 2 and Level 3.
The successful candidate will ideally be in or around the Essex area, although we would consider applications from outside this area who are prepared to travel.
Your role will involve providing remote theory-based training using technology platforms. Additionally, it will include some face-to-face visits to client premises, to support employers in the delivery of practical skills, as well as providing training and assessment for apprentices. You will also coordinate the course with their employers and perform Internal Quality Assurance if needed.

You will need:
A minimum Level 3 qualification in equine
Recent Industry experience
Excellent communication and people skills and to be professional and approachable
The ability to support learners with vocationally embedded maths and English Functional Skills up to level 2
Competent computer skills and a willingness to learn to use an e-portfolio as well as the ability to deliver training confidently, via remote communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
The means to travel to rural business premises.
Business use insurance for your vehicle prior to start date of any post offered
Desirable:
Teaching experience in an FE or HE environment
A teaching qualification at L3 or above
TAQA L3 or equivalent and/or assessment experience
TAQA 4 or equivalent
An understanding of work-based learning
GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English
You will also need the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload and undertake the necessary administration required of the post, to keep the company in compliance with relevant legislation.
This post is a full-time (Monday- Friday), permanent position. You will work from your own home, with a combination of remote training sessions and face to face visits to your designated learners.
For the right candidate, we can provide the opportunity to undertake teaching and assessment qualifications as part of your CPD, if not already held.
