Horticulture Trainer

KEITS Training Services Ltd are looking for an additional Training Consultant to join its Horticulture team.

You will teach apprentices across a range of courses including Amenity and Landscape Horticulture, Golf Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Maintenance. 

Much of the delivery will be remote, theory-based training using technology platforms and will include some face-to-face visits to client premises, supporting employers in the delivery of practical skills. You will provide high quality, inspirational training, in conjunction with the learner’s employer and undertake necessary formative assessment and, if appropriate, you will also be involved in providing internal quality assurance.

Although this advertisement requires us to give a specific location, you will be home based and therefore any geographic location within England will be considered.

You will need:

  • Relevant HND/Degree OR L3 qualification in horticulture
  • Broad industry experience
  • To be professional and approachable with excellent communication and people skills
  • The ability to support learners with Maths and English skills up to level 2, with the help of subject specific software
  • Competent computer skills and a willingness to learn to use an e-portfolio as well as the ability to deliver training confidently, via remote communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
  • The means to travel to rural business premises.
  • Business use insurance for your vehicle prior to start date of any post offered

Advantageous:

  • Teaching experience in an FE or HE environment
  • A teaching qualification at L3 or above
  • TAQA L3 or equivalent and/or assessment experience
  • TAQA L4 or equivalent
  • An understanding of work-based learning
  • GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English

You will also need the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload and undertake the necessary administration required of the post, to keep the company in compliance with relevant legislation.

This post is a full-time (Monday – Friday), permanent position, however, fractional positions of a minimum of 3 days per week may be considered.

Salary £26,000 – £28,000 dependent on qualifications and experience, plus travel expenses and pension scheme.

Functional Skills Tutor

KEITS Training Services Ltd are looking for a maths & English tutor to join our work-based training team.

You will teach apprentices and private learners undertaking their programmes in a range of land-based and business environments.

The vast majority of the teaching will be remote, delivered from your home using our technology platforms and will include both group and 1:1 sessions. You will provide high quality, inspirational teaching and undertake necessary formative assessment and internal quality assurance.

Although this advertisement requires us to give a specific location, you will be home based and therefore any geographic location within England will be considered.

You will need:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in maths.
  • Level 2 or above qualification in English.
  • L3 or above teaching qualification.
  • A current DBS check or willingness to allow us to make such a check.
  • The experience to support learners with Maths and English functional skills up to level 2, with the help of subject specific software.
  • Competent computer skills and a willingness to learn to use an e-portfolio as well as the ability to deliver training confidently, via remote communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
  • The means to travel to rural business premises, if required.
  • Business use insurance for your vehicle prior to start date of any post offered.

Advantageous:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in English.
  • Experience in working with learners with special educational needs.
  • Teaching experience in a work-based or FE environment.
  • TAQA L3 or equivalent and/or assessment experience.
  • TAQA L4 or equivalent and IQA experience.

You will also need the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload and undertake the necessary administration required of the post, to keep the company in compliance with relevant legislation.

This post is a full-time (Monday – Friday), permanent position after 6-month probation.

Salary £28,000 – £32,000 dependent on qualifications and experience, plus travel expenses and pension scheme.

We can provide the opportunity to undertake assessment and/or quality assurance qualifications as part of your CPD, if not already held.
