Hello India, congratulations on passing your level 2 English functional skills. So, how has gaining your functional skills with KEITS helped you?
“It’s helped me a lot as it’s a weight lifted off my shoulders and I now know I can go on to achieve whatever I want.”
What would you say you’re most proud of?
“I’m most proud of achieving my writing test, particularly as I have struggled a lot with my spelling and grammar, over the years.”
What would you say to anyone worried about achieving their functional skills?
“Give it a go. You can always ask for help if you need it, and everyone at KEITS is willing to help.”
Is there anyone in particular at KEITS who has stood out and helped you with regard to your functional skills training?
“I found Rion really helpful during my speaking and listening training and final assessment, and my revision session with Claire the week before my tests was very beneficial.”
So, in summary, what advice would you give to anyone needing to do their functional skills?
“They should really try and take advantage of the training that’s on offer, because achieving Maths and English is a skill you can take with you, whatever you choose to do in the future.”
