Hannah’s Assessor Cathy Dittrich who nominated her said:
“I would like to nominate Hannah Hancock for learner of the month who has just completed her level 2 animal care diploma with a distinction this month. Hannah was only 16 when she started her apprenticeship fresh out of school. The Covid-19 pandemic hit hard on the day care kennels and cattery Hannah worked with and she was furloughed for a long four months of her apprenticeship period.
During her furlough, Hannah maintained excellent communications with her assessor and used her own initiative to create photo storyboards and put her best efforts into her coursework which kept improving as Hannah took on board feedback and asked for clarification whenever she needed it. On my final visit to Hannah’s workplace, following her return to work, her employer took me aside to tell me what a godsend Hannah had been now that she was back. They couldn’t praise her enough for her hard work and dedication.
Hannah has decided to stay on at the business and intends on completing her Level 3 Animal Care qualification with KEITS, once this is up and running. I hope that we can welcome Hannah back soon!”
Congratulations Hannah from all at KEITS, good luck for the future!
