Special Recognition Awards – March 2022!

This month is a special month – we have had so many extremely strong nominations for Special Recognition Awards so today we have two winners of this award!

First up is Sophie at Cheval Court Stud..

Sophie’s assessment Gemma has said:

“I would like to nominate Sophie  who has achieved her L2 Horse Care Apprenticeship in February 2022. Sophie has faces many challenges throughout her apprenticeship including staff and business changes as well as the stress that Covid-19 has caused. The hardest thing Sophie was faces with due to Covid was that on the day of her end point assessment she couldn’t get any last minute support from her yard manager and the entire yard closed. Sophie was still up for the challenge and coped amazingly and passed anyway! A huge well done to Sophie!”

Second is Faye at Coco’s Canine Creche..

Faye’s employer Paula has said:

“Faye joined Coco’s as a volunteer member of staff working one day a week in 2018 and due to her commitment and love for the dogs, she was offered an Animal Care Level 2 apprenticeship which she started in February 2019.  Faye has been organised and dedicated during her level 2 and more recently level 3 studies and produces work to a high standard.  She is a truly exemplary member of our small team.  Every person in the team is critical to the success of Coco’s as a business and Faye has proven her passion for the role, always with the welfare of the dogs and their happiness being the most important aspects of everything she does.”

Faye’s Training Consultant Georgie has said:

“I want to put Faye forward for this award as she has accomplished so much in the last 3 years. When I first met her she had left school without being able to undertake her GCSEs through no fault of her own and when she was put forward for her animal care apprenticeship she was fully committed to doing her Functional skills at level 2 straight away, successfully achieving all elements. Faye went on to complete her apprenticeship within the time frame and was one of our first new Level 2 standards learners who passed with a distinction! Working within a supportive business with dedicated team members Faye has continued to show a strong commitment to furthering her own learning and after naturally developing within her job role was enrolled onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship In Animal Care and welfare. Even throughout what has been a life changing time with Covid-19, Faye shows resilience beyond her years, focus and true passion for the dogs she cares for. Her commitment towards her studies has been unwavering and I am so pleased that she completed her award in Level 3 animal care even managed to pass her driving test as well!

Faye is very deserving of the special recognition award and has been a pleasure to work alongside through both apprenticeships.”
