Bumper Crop for KEITS at Chelsea Flower Show

Success at Chelsea Flower Show for KEITS Apprentices

Once again KEITS had a bumper year at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Ellouise Hasler-Stott, who completed her Level 2 and 3 Floristry Apprenticeship and is just starting her Level 4, was crowned Chelsea Young Florist of the Year and Best in Show at RHS 2018!

“Spring Wedding” was the theme for this year’s competition at RHS Chelsea. The florists were asked to create a floral wedding throne. One of the conditions was that 2/3 of the finished design had to be fresh flower and/or plant material.

All the florists were under 25 years old, but there could only be one winner! Ellouise Hasler-Stott from EG Flowers received the Gold Medal in the Young Chelsea Florist competition this year.

BFA: “The overall look of the design was outstanding, magical and natural. Ellouise drew inspiration from the link between marriage and spring – the beginning of spring growth and the growth of a partnership between two people. Her throne is seen to be growing out of the ground, with the materials growing and entwining around one another.”

And that wasn’t all! Kara Halford, who completed her Level 2 and 3 Floristry Apprenticeship won a silver medal and Sian Johnson, who also completed a Level 2 and 3  in Floristry from West Malling Flowers, won Bronze!

And last but by no means least, Jane Padgham from Linda’s Florists Ltd, won Silver in the Senior RHS

A massive well done from all KEITS. We are so proud of your achievements!
