I think we can all agree the celebrations were monumental, but a strong message was at the heart of the whole weekend. Unity. Families and neighbours came together in parties. Villages, towns, and cities came together to light beacons and communities came together in concerts, readathons and one very large pageant on The Mall to celebrate. Whilst Paddington got to have tea with the Queen!
This weekend was not only a celebration of the extraordinary 70 years of hard work, dedication and love our Queen has given to the service of our country and the commonwealth. It was also a celebration of the unity of communities and cultures from across the nation and the commonwealth to mark such an historic occasion. A message that we are one!
How did you celebrate?
