The Department for Education are a department of the government who are responsible for education and training and ensuring it is implemented correctly. Their mission is to drive economic growth through better education and improving the skills pipeline by ensuring that all areas of the country have the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need in life.
What do they do for apprenticeships?
Because the Department for Education are responsible for everything education it means they are responsible for apprenticeships. They regularly monitor the performance of apprenticeships and ensure they are meeting the needs of the industries and the learners who are taking them.
KEITS often hosts members of the department of education who are keen to see apprenticeships in action on the front line and communicate with apprentices and employers face to face.
