From Learner of the Month to Business Owner – Leonie’s Journey
Three years ago, Leonie was celebrating being named Learner of the Month during her time with KEITS Training Services. Recently, she reshared that Facebook memory, a proud reminder of just how far she has come since completing her A&W Level 2 qualification.
Leonie trained with the support of our wonderful tutor, Emily, whose encouragement and expertise helped shape Leonie’s confidence and skills. Reflecting on her time with KEITS, Leonie shared how much that guidance meant to her and how it made a lasting impact on her journey.
Since completing her qualification, Leonie has gone on to establish her own doggy day care and now runs a successful dog walking business. The knowledge she gained throughout her course has been instrumental in building her ventures, from understanding canine behaviour and body language, to implementing robust health and safety procedures, and confidently administering first aid.
Her story is a fantastic example of how apprenticeships don’t just build skills for employment, they create foundations for entrepreneurship and long-term success.
We are incredibly proud of Leonie and everything she has achieved. Seeing former learners grow into successful business owners is exactly why we do what we do.
