Dog Groomer Apprentice
(Star Paws Grooming)

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills needed to start a career in the dog grooming industry.

Duties include but not limited to;

• Washing/Drying/brushing out
• Keeping the groom room tidy at all times
• Washing & Drying towels
• Getting client cards out/putting them away
• Cuddling dogs
• Deep clean after every day
• Helping out, when asked to do so

Desired Skills & Qualities

• Previous experience with dogs
• Good communication
• Time Keeping
• Reliable
• Passion to learn

Desired Qualifications

• Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming.
• GCSE or Equivalent in English and maths grade 4/C or above desired, but not essential.

Future Prospects

• Apprentices go on to full employment in the industry or open their own salon.

Training Provided

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
