Dog Groomer Apprentice
(Clippin Marvellous)

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Dealing with customers in the boutique
• Cleaning the salon to a high standard
• Caring for the clients much loved pets
• Washing, clipping and trimming
• Health and Safety

You will be dealing with a variety of dogs and need to be able to adapt to their needs to give them a positive experience.

Desired skills

• Some previous experience with dogs. Details must be shown on application

• Reliable

Desired qualifications

• English and maths Grade 5/C or equivalent is desired but not essential
• Applicants must not already hold level 2 or above in Dog Grooming

Future prospects

• Employment for the right candidate.

Training

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Groomer Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Things to consider

• Must be physically fit as you will be on your feet most of the day and handling a variety of different sizes and breeds of dogs
• KEITS reserves the right to close this vacancy early should the need arise
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
