Apprentice Dog Groomer
(Tatty Matts Grooming Salon & Pet Store)

An exciting opportunity has become available at Tatty Matts Dog Grooming Salon and Pet Store to start your career in dog grooming industry working and learning a team of experienced and friendly dog groomers.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

• Bathing, drying, and prepping dogs
• Dealing with clients, bookings, and phone calls
• Cleaning and maintaining the salon and shop to a high standard
• Helping to create and post content on our social media pages
• Clipping and Scissoring
• Serving customers in the pet store when needed
• Restocking shelves when required

Desired Skills and Qualities

• Ideally some previous experience with dogs

Desired Qualifications

• Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or above in dog grooming.
• Maths and English Grade C/4 GCSE or equivalent desirable but not Essential.

Future Prospects

•  Future Employment for the right candidate if position arises.

Training 

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

• You may be on your feet for a large portion of the day as part of the tasks in this job role.
