We are looking for a facilities apprentice to ensure the smooth day to day running of the facilities function.

Key Responsibilities

To provide reception cover and general administrative support.

Reception

Perform the following tasks in a prompt, efficient, professional and courteous manner:

  • Answer the switchboard within 4 rings and screen/direct calls as necessary
  • Take and relay messages
  • Provide information to callers
  • Attend to visitors and clients including meet and greet and taking coats etc.

Post

  • All incoming mail to be sorted, dated, allocated and delivered to fee-earners
  • Sorting and franking of outgoing post
  • Topping up of the franking machine and purchase of postage stamp
  • Organise special deliveries and couriers

General Duties

  • Provide a welcoming experience for clients and ensure all communal areas are kept clean, tidy and presentable
  • Preparing standard letters, printing, downloading documents and file organisation
  • Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties in order to support the administration function of the Company

  • It is important they are keen to learn and has a strong willingness to develop their skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent Grade 4/C or higher in maths and English desirable but not essential.
  • Applicant must not already hold a level 3 or higher in Business Admin

Future Prospects

  • Possibility of future employment if available.

Training:

  • Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
  • The applicant will be working towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship
  • The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
  • The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
