Canine Carer Apprentice

• Further training and management positions will be available
• Apprentices that excel will be considered for a permanent position
• Needham have had many apprentices and still have them working with them. Two of their apprentices have gone on to be Assistant Managers and Senior Carers.

Training

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship

• Due to the hours and our location it is essential you have access to your own transport/can ensure you arrive to work on time
• You will need to arrive ready to start for 8am and leave after the last dog at 6pm on working days
• You will be physically active for most of the day. We pick up dog mess! We work long shifts and spend a lot of time running around after dogs which can be physically tiring
• You need to be able to cope with the physical demands of the role as we are inside and outside in all weathers
• KEITS Training Services Ltd reserves the right to close the vacancy earlier than the listed closing date should the need arise
• The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
