Baines Gardening Ltd offer gardening and site maintenance for large commercial new build sites, smaller commercial jobs and private work.
We are looking for a new apprentice to join our team for this varied and exciting role.
Duties will include but not limited to;
Lawn cutting
hedge cutting
edge trimming
weeding
planting
laying bark
sweeping
some sites require us to empty certain bins
sites are always left clean and tidy at the end of each day
Pruning and shaping, plant maintenance
Desired Skills and Qualities

Desired Qualifications
Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in Horticulture and Landscape
Applicant must hold a UK full driving license due to locations and evidence must be shown on application.
Future Progression
On completion of the apprenticeship, there may be a chance for a full time role for the right candidate if a position arises.
Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
You will also need to achieve Level 3 award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance or Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Pesticides before undertaking the End Point Assessment.

Applicants must have a driving license and evidence shown on application.

The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
