Doggy Day Care Assistant Apprentice
(Barkley Grange)

An exciting opportunity for a doggy day care assistant apprentice to join a fun and friendly team.

Duties will include but not limited to;

• welcoming dogs to the day care
• supervising groups of dogs
• cleaning
• ensuring a safe environment for the dogs
• maintaining the welfare of the dogs at all times
• dealing with any issues that may arise
• communicating with customers

You will work as part of a small dedicated team, who are passionate about working with dogs.

Desired Skills & Qualities

• Good time keeping
• Good communication skills
• A good work ethic
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team

Desired Qualification 

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths is desired
• Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 or 3 in Animal Care to be eligible

Future Prospects

• Dog Trainer or Dog Day care supervisor

Training 

• Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
• The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
• The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
• The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship
